Active Release Technique (ART)

Active Release Technique or ART is the gold standard of soft tissue treatment for sports injuries. Injured muscles, ligament, fascia, tendons and nerves all respond extremely well with ART.  Active Release Technique (ART) is a form of neuromuscular re-education.  The purpose of ART is to increase range of motion, re-train muscular movement patterns and re-train neuromuscular memory.  The muscle and fascia will be taken from its shortened position to its lengthened position while an appropriate contact is made.  The treatment is both active for the patient as they are to move the involved body part while the provider assists in maximizing the range of motion at the end.
