Your First 2 steps following a Work Injury
Step 1- Inform your employer and fill out an accident report
As soon as your injury occurs, report it to your supervisor. Tell them exactly what happened. Make sure to complete an internal accident report right away with them.
Whether your injury developed over time or occurred due to an accident, file your worker’s compensation claim right away. You don’t want the statute of limitations to lapse. Filing your claim immediately will ensure you don’t miss the deadline.
