Dr. Catherine Campbell is from the Cleveland area. She is a graduate of Kent State University and the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM). She participated in the 6-year BS/MD program, receiving both degrees in 1983.
Dr. Campbell completed a family practice residency at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio in 1986. Practice in urgent care led to an interest in occupational medicine. She became board certified in occupational medicine in 1998. She completed a master’s degree in public health through the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2001.
Dr. Campbell has experience in urgent care medicine, as well as occupational health and safety. She has worked on site at several companies in Ohio and is currently part-time medical director at Kyklos Bearings International in Sandusky, Ohio.
Dr. Campbell has extensive experience treating work-related injuries and limiting disability. She is a workers’ compensation provider and member of the Disability Evaluators Panel for the state of Ohio. She has been a certified medical review officer (MRO). She has extensive experience performing DOT physicals and post-hire exams.
Board Certified General Surgeon
Dr. Alinawaz Moghal received his medical degree at Dow Medical College and began his practice of general surgery at Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Center in Karachi, Pakistan. Following an internship at Marymont Hospital in Garfield, Ohio, Dr. Moghal completed a general surgery residency at Doctor's Hospital (now Meridia Hillcrest) in Mayfield Heights, Ohio in 1962 and at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1963. He also completed a chief surgical residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 1964.
Dr. Moghal was board certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1965 and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 1966. He is licensed in both Ohio and Canada.
Dr. Moghal worked at a private practice in Willoughby, Ohio, where he practiced general surgery and family medicine. He retired from general surgery in 1994. He also worked in the practice of industrial medicine, providing assessments and therapy to a diverse patient population involved with workers’ compensation and personal injury settlements.
Dr. Sarah Prosak was born and raised in the Akron/Canton area playing soccer and softball and participating in a number of additional clubs and organizations. With three sisters, one being her identical twin, Dr. Susan, who is now a family practitioner, Dr. Sarah stayed very active and held her own with respect to academics and athletics.
After graduating from Green High School, Dr. Prosak attended Miami University, where she played club rugby and suffered a number of musculoskeletal injuries. After one particular injury, she could not lift her head off the pillow due to severe neck pain. This was the first injury that brought her to her neighborhood chiropractor.
After that first chiropractic adjustment, Dr. Sarah knew that her calling in life was to become a chiropractor herself. She graduated from Miami University with a degree in zoology and an additional focus on exercise science. Dr. Sarah then went on to play rugby for the Santa Monica Women’s Rugby team for a season in California before making the move to New York for her chiropractic education.
While studying at New York Chiropractic College, Dr. Sarah continued her busy lifestyle while working for the admissions department. She was later accepted for a prestigious internship on Long Island, where she worked for a neurology and pain management practice alongside medical doctors, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, acupuncturists, and other medical professionals to treat chronic and complex cases. She is excited to be using her skills to help those in pain and those who strive for optimum health in the Greater Cleveland area.
Dr. Riffle is a 2005 graduate of New York Chiropractic College. Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Riffle has practiced in multi-discipline offices in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh regions prior to relocating to the Cleveland area in 2013. Growing up in an athletic environment, Dr. Riffle realized the importance of chiropractic in recovery and now specializes in injury rehabilitation and preventative care. He is certified in the Graston Soft Tissue Technique, an instrument-assisted method to treat sports injuries as well as to manage pain caused from scar tissue. He is also certified in Active Release Technique (ART) for the spine and will be full-body certified by the end of 2018. Active Release Technique is a hands-on case management system that allows the provider to diagnose and treat injuries relating to the muscle, tendons, fascia and nerves.
In his free time, Dr. Riffle enjoys activities that challenge his body and mind which includes exercise, reading and playing guitar.
Dr. Kazimiera (Kaz) Zippert is a University Heights native, and attended Beaumont School for high school. She went on to study Biology at Westminster College in Pennsylvania, where she played on the varsity soccer team. After college she pursued her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. While in chiropractic school she was very active in sports council, treating many different types of athletes at various sporting events. After graduating in June 2016, she returned to the Cleveland area and has been practicing ever since.
Dr. Kaz utilizes various techniques including Diversified, Thompson Drop, Flexion and Distraction, IASTM, and kinesio taping. She wants all of her patients to be able to return to optimal function and be able to complete the activities that they love.
In her free time Dr. Kaz loves to cycle and play soccer. She currently plays in several coed soccer leagues. Dr. Kaz is also trying to cycle in all fifty states with her parents, she has already cycled in eight states. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and supporting Cleveland sports teams.
Sara is a 2006 graduate of Cleveland Heights High School. She attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia on a soccer and lacrosse scholarship (Division I), where she received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She continued her education at Old Dominion University, earning her doctorate in physical therapy (DPT). She has spent some time traveling and working and has experience in skilled nursing and orthopedic care.
Sara grew up playing multiple sports and although she was lucky to avoid any major musculoskeletal injuries, she often saw friends and teammates with injuries, which is how she discovered her drive to learn about the body. She was also influenced by her mother, who has a passion for helping people and putting others first.
Sara put these two interests together and chose the field of physical therapy. Her focus is to help patients actively improve range of motion, strength, and functioning and return them to their daily activities with minimum pain. Sara is also trained in the Graston Technique and loves seeing the positive results in her patients. She is very excited to be back in Cleveland and to provide care for friends and families who find themselves at Advanced Orthopedics & Physical Therapy.
Harriet is a 1995 graduate of Warrensville Heights High School. She accepted a volleyball scholarship to Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she received a bachelor's degree in biology. She then attended Cleveland State University, where she received a master's degree in physical therapy.
Harriet has worked in a variety of facilities, including special needs schools, acute care, long-term care, long-term acute care, assisted living, outpatient, and home care settings.
Rachel joined the AOPT staff in 2013 after graduating from Cuyahoga Community College with a degree in physical therapist assisting. What she enjoys most about physical therapy is helping patients gain knowledge and a stronger awareness of their body so they can learn to manage their injuries or conditions independently and function to their highest ability.
Rachel believes in maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle with yoga as one of her main forms of exercise, as she enjoys the physical and mental challenge that the practice offers.
Tim is a graduate of Westlake High School and Lorain County Community College, where he earned his degree in physical therapy assisting in 2013. He began working at AOPT shortly thereafter. Tim is continuing his education through Youngstown State University, from which he will receive a bachelor of science in applied science.
Tim has always had a passion for sports and exercise and is an avid gym-goer. He has played basketball, football, and baseball throughout his life and loves any outdoor activity.
Tim is a huge advocate for living a healthy lifestyle and enjoys educating and informing his patients on ways they can improve their health. He is also certified in the Graston Technique to effectively improve range of motion and expedite the healing process for many injuries.
Martha is a graduate of Cuyahoga Community College Metro Campus with an associate's degree as a physical therapist assistant. She has been a physical therapist assistant for over 20 years and has been with Advanced Orthopedics for two years. She enjoys working in health care, and especially orthopedic care, where she can help people regain their strength and independence.
Martha’s greatest achievement is her family. She has one adult daughter and 3 grandchildren. In her spare time Martha enjoys music, reading, movies, and painting/drawing. Martha hopes to continue her career after retirement as an exercise coach.
Brittany Hoogenboom is a graduate of Remington College where she earned her degree in Physical Therapy Assisting. She joined our staff in August of 2016. Brittany is always smiling and takes pride in building relationships with her patients, treating them as though she was treating her own family members.
She is passionate about her yoga practice and owns a donation based yoga studio called Synergy Soul Yoga LLC, which she also offers as a continuation of care to her patients once they are discharged from therapy.
She is also a certified Reiki Master, Certified Metaphysical Adept and continuing her education in Aromatherapy, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programing) Counseling and Life skills, Chakra and Aura Therapy and Reflexology.
Yaxian Ding was born and raised in China. She graduated from Shanxi Medical University with her M.D. and in 1990 began to practice medicine in China. She later attended Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, one of the top medicine schools in China, where she earned her doctorate in Chinese Medicine in 1994. Yaxian completed her clinical internship at Dongzhimen Hospital, an affiliate of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Since then, she has added acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and herbs into her medical practice. She moved to the United States in 2000. She is a Diplomate of Acupuncture, National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and holds her acupuncture license from the Ohio State Medical Board. Yaxian offers acupuncture for acute/chronic pain management, stress-related disorders, digestive problems, women & children’s health, and more.
