đď¸ I Worked Out Yesterday⌠Why Does EVERYTHING Hurt?
You felt great yesterday.
Today? Your legs hurt. Your back hurts. Your arms hurt. Somehow even sitting down hurts. đ
If youâre sore after a workout, you may be experiencing DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). It often shows up 12â48 hours after exercise, especially when you try a new workout, increase your intensity, or use muscles you havenât used in a while.
So⌠should you just suffer? đ
Not necessarily!
Gentle movement, stretching, hydration, rest, and gradually getting back into your routine can help. Physical therapy can also help if soreness keeps turning into pain or youâre dealing with an actual injury.
đ¨ Sore or injured?
Normal muscle soreness usually improves with time.
If you have sharp pain, significant swelling, weakness, numbness, or pain that isnât getting better, it may be more than ordinary post-workout soreness.
